As part of our preparations for the 2010 FIFA World Cup, the lower roadway at O.R. Tambo International Airport will be closed temporarily today, 19 March 2010, between 12h00 till 15h00 in order to test vehicle traffic flow and congestion management. This is being done in conjunction with the Ekurheleni Metro Police Department (EMPD) and the South African Police Service (SAPS). During the World Cup, the lower roadway will be closed to normal traffic and handed over to EMPD and SAPS.
