  • Johannesburg, 25 October 2013 – As part of its 7th year renaming commemorations, O.R. Tambo International Airport hosted a book reading session for 187 school children from Chivirikani Primary School on Friday, 25 October 2013.   • Johannesburg, 14 October 2013 – Airports Company South Africa wishes to assure its passengers and partners that operations at O.R. Tambo International Airport have resumed to full capacity this morning. This comes after an attempted cable theft in the early hours of yesterday morning prevented the fuel pipeline’s ability to transmit fuel to aircraft. Both Domestic and International flights were affected resulting in majority of the airlines being delayed yesterday.  (Read more...)

Tambo International Airport wishes to advise all passengers that whilst the power cable is yet to be restored, airlines are now able to uplift fuel out of the airport. The damage to the cable due to this morning’s attempted cable theft had affected the fuel pipeline’s ability to transmit fuel to aircraft. (Read more...)

  • Airports Company South Africa, Cape Town International Airport (ACSA CTIA) has been facilitating the Haj delegation leaving for Mecca. In the month of September, about 800 pilgrims would have used the airport for domestic and international travel. The airport has been working closely with South African Haj and Umrah Council (SAHUC) as well the South African Tour Operators Association (SATOA) to ensure that this process is smooth for all airport users.  (Read more...)
