New passenger and airline tariff structure for 2009 announced

Airports Company South Africa Limited’s National Rating Review
Fitch Ratings has affirmed Airports Company South Africa Limited (ACSA)’s Short-term rating at ‘F1+(zaf)’ but regrettably downgraded the National Long-term rating from ‘AA(zaf)’ to ‘AA-(zaf)’. The Outlook for the National Long-term rating and Short-term rating remains Stable.

New International Airport at La Mercy Update – December 2008
There is a new very visible landmark on the horizon of the north coast of Durban!
It is the new air traffic tower for the new international airport at La Mercy. The cab was hoisted last week and was completed to the date as scheduled. The hoist commenced on 12th November and on 27th November the cad was secured on top of the tower. (

Top wheelchair tennis stars to compete in ACSA SA Open and ACSA Border Open
During the month of December South Africa’s top seeded wheelchair tennis players will compete for a world ranking in the ACSA South African Open and ACSA Border Open. The ACSA SA Open takes place from 9-13 December in Cape Town while the ACSA Border Open will be held from 14 -19 December in East London. Both tournaments are international events. (

O.R. Tambo International Airport ready for the 2008 Hajj season

5th Security screening point at CTIA's Domestic Departures Terminal
Cape Town International Airport (CTIA) has increased passenger security processing capacity with the addition of a fifth Security Screening Point at the Domestic Departures Terminal to be used during peak periods.
