Central Terminal Building development at O.R. Tambo International Airport complete
O.R. Tambo has taken a giant step closer to readiness to host the 2010 Soccer World Cup. Passengers and visitors to O.R. Tambo International Airport will soon be able to experience Africa’s largest airport construction free. As of 1 April 2009 the R2.3 billion Central Terminal Building (CTB) development is will be fully operational. (

On 1 April 2009 the Departures level of Central Terminal Building Development at O.R. Tambo International Airport will be opened. This opening marks the completion of the final phase of the Central Terminal Building development at the airport.

Aircraft Storage and Parking Progam at Upington Airport
As it is a known fact that capacity to keep aircraft parked is a world wide problem and with infrastructure capacity in mind, ACSA decided to invest in researching various strategies in an attempt to utilise the extra capacity that Upington has and to increase the commercial revenue stream of the airport. Multi-storey parking extension completed at O.R. Tambo International Airport
The R500 million multi storey parking extension at O.R. Tambo International Airport is now open to the public. The new parking facility adds 5 300 parking bays on 7 levels to the airport precinct’s existing 5000 bays. Of these new bays 2000 were commissioned in early 2008. (
