As a result of the adverse weather conditions and low visibility experienced at O.R. Tambo International Airport this morning, flights to and from O.R. Tambo International are currently experiencing delays in departure and arrival.
8 July 2015 – Airports Company South Africa’s East London Airport can confirm the incident where a civilian, light aircraft had to conduct an emergency landing on the runway at approximately 10h33. The airport’s emergency services responded immediately.
17 November 2014, Johannesburg – O.R. Tambo International Airport will embark on an emergency simulation exercise this week to test the airport’s preparedness for major scale incidents. This exercise is in line with mandatory aviation and/or airport requirements to test the airport’s readiness.
