The new international airport at La Mercy is taking great shape and although it has, historically not been a very smooth ride to get to the level it is now, it is rapidly becoming part of the Durban and KZN skyliine.

Nationwide Airlines has been placed under provisional liquidation following approval of a court application submitted in the Johannesburg High Court on Tuesday, April 30, 2008.

Nationwide Airlines has suspended all flights, both local and international, as of 29 April 2008. A statement issued by the airline read as follows

New passenger service charges for 2008 announced Airports Company South Africa (ACSA) today announced changes in tariffs levied for the 2008 financial year. The new tariffs, approved by the Regulating Committee*, will be effective for all travel from 1 April 2008.
